Olivia Debrabandere
Die 22-jährige belgische Harfenistin Olivia Debrabandere begann im Alter von sechs Jahren an der Musikschule in Roeselare mit der Musikausbildung. Mit zehn Jahren entschied sie sich für die Harfe. Nach drei Jahren Bachelorstudium bei Agnès Clement und Emma Wauters am Lemmens Institute in Löwen, Belgien, setzt Olivia ihr Studium in Deutschland an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München bei Professor Cristina Bianchi fort.
Sie wurde als Nachwuchstalent für das Kammermusikfestival Arte Amanti ausgewählt, gewann 2019 den Preis für Solisten beim 'Harpe Diem Concours' und 2022 den Preis für die beste Aufführung der Auftragskomposition Magellan von Vincent Ghadimi an den 'International Harp Competition Felix Godefroid'.
Als Solistin konzertierte sie bereits mit dem Gent Symphony Orchestra und der Harmonie Sint-Cecilia Rumbeke. Sie spielte unter anderem auch im Youth Orchestra Flanders, im Landestheater Niederbayern, im Continuo Orchestra und im Ghent University Orchestra.
The 22-year-old Belgian harpist Olivia Debrabandere started music initiation when she was six years old at the music academy in Roeselare. After three years of Bachelor studies with Agnès Clément and Emma Wauters at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven, Olivia continues her studies in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Professor Cristina Bianchi.
She was selected as a young talent for the ‘Chamber music festival Arte Amanti’, won the prize for soloists in the ‘Harpe Diem competition’ in 2019 and in 2022 the prize for best performance of the new composition ‘Magellan’ by Vincent Ghadimi at the ‘Internationale Harp Competition Felix Godefroid’.
As a soloist she played with the Gent Symphony Orchestra and the Harmonie Sint-Cecilia Rumbeke. She also played in the Youth Orchestra Flanders, Landestheater Niederbayern, Continuo Orchestra, and the Ghent University Orchestra, among others.
